This week's classes were really good. Lots of footwork drills, defensive drills and boxing chain drills, along with how to break those drills by intercepting. Attacking with broken rhythm in combinations was also a key component and then working all that into sparring.

Students are making great progress and hitting hard, which is a common practice for the WNG.

Hope everyone else's training has been going well.

I want to work a bit more on my elusive lead, occasionally I mix in headmovement with my lead straight or put my rear hand in front guarding my face but I'd like to develop it a bit more.

Does anyone else use the headmovement as emphasized by Bruce Lee when using the lead straight?

So slipping to the outside while throwing the lead straight, slipping to the inside (danger of a kick to the head or a knee), rear hand guarding.

I want to minimize the chances of being caught at the same time I throw my punch, and improving how I do this could be the key I believe.

Looks like a cutting blast. Wondering if you will eventually see a lot of the same things in both JKD/KM if you were to explore enough.

Aiming to get a bit more mobile and upon introspect on my stance I'm question whether I crouch a little bit too much, I also have a feeling my upper body is inclined forward too much. Both of these things seem to interfere with pulling the trigger.

Anyone have any input? I'll try and get some photos over the weekend so I can show what I mean, but basically I feel too planted and feel as if I can't push off.
