I was on Amazon.com and saw that the Teri Tom book on the JKD straight lead is unavailable even though the publishing date has passed. Anyone know when it can be bought?

Also, I have not seen any updates recently. Any new information on the Wednesday Night Group DVD?

I voted for fencing. Did'nt Bruce use fencing to get back in shape after his back injury? (Whether it was from some death fight in little china or a weight lifting accident.)

I've heard both versions, but Brice's son was in the Dragon movie which depicts the fight theory.
Was that just for the sake of making a good movie?
I'm sure Linda must have been able to put an end to all the rumors by now.

I think fencing (while I've never even picked up a foil) uses parrying. I find parrying better than blocking, yet not as effective as stop hits.
It also uses a great amount of foot work, which any great martial artist must learn to use.
I think Wing Chun is a cool MA but I think Bruce being the train blazer he was probably could have started in any MA and would have wound up with the conclusions he arrived at.
Eventually he would have come across trapping, for example and took it for what it's worth.

Is Teri Tom the chick in the Ted Wong photo magazine cover? She's pretty hot, that's all I know about her, but wouldn't mind getting to KNOW who she is....he he..

Frankie, just google her name. She writes movie reviews for the tao of film? Either way, I met her in April; she has a wicked set of lead hand punches. She's more importantly, a cool person.

The stop hit comes from fencing. So does a lot of JKD. It had nothing to do with his back injury.

How interesting, what other parts come from fencing?

Is JKD the first martial art to use the stop hit concept?
That might be a dumb question but this is something I don't know.

So is Teri Tom really cute in real life? The picture is very nice. I'd like to see how she moves doing more punches and gyrating those hips intensely, he he.
