Aside from colorful legends about Chinese iron palm masters who could kill tigers(!) with one strike, could anyone share a real-life example of a
concussion/floating/surge/internal punch working as it is supposed to work in a real fight? Critics of the technique say it is a mere stunt or drill that could "never" work in real conditions. I am wondering if anyone knows of a contrary true instance. Did Sigung Bruce himself or one of his direct students ever have occassion to actually use the technique outside of a demonstration or teaching context?

John,
I agree that there are kids reading this so let's please watch your language also. Thanks for the warning about Lotarguy's favorite website so I didn't bother clicking on it. Actually I don't think I'll bother reading his stuff anymore. I'm too old and life's too short for me to mess with all the fools and idiots out there. I guess we''ll meet him on Sunday. It will be nice to see a "real" martial art in action.

Does rupturing a kideny count with a body shot to the back boxing style?
How about stopping the heart of a crack head with a kick in the chest?
How about a palm at an upward angle to the base of the skull that disconnects the spine?

Other than... that I'd have to say no.
Nothing that you couldn't emulate with a sledge hammer...lol

Yes sorry Tim. I forget sometimes. Glad I saved your mind from that picture. I wish someone had saved mine.
