thats what i thought, that if you knew the basic traps you could pretty much make up any type of trap you wanted. it was interesting tho that there were that many actual "combinations" that were deliberately taught.

I learned through a wesite that mr inosanto made up the kicking sets and not bruce lee, i surpose if you got the eight baisc kicks you can make your own kicking sets up.....thats if you keep to the principles.

1 striaght kick
2 side kick
3 hook kick
4 back kick
5 stamp kick
6 inverted hook kick
7 spin back kick
8 sweep reverse kick

mayb now theres 1000 ways to make your own drills up......"the man the living creature is always more inportant than a style or stytem" bruce lee.

ps.... if im wrong about the kicking sets being made up by mr inosanto....then if you abide by the principles and not the technique.

Actually the kicking sets were taught by Bruce. They were done at the chinatown school and at least part of one was taught in Oakland. Not all websites know or tell the truth.

hi tim saw him this morning 7am and pasted the message on...ps i had an email from Howard williams and i dont think he practices jkd anymore or teaches it,just wondering if you heard the same thing?
