Hello all, I am new to this forum and was refered here by a member of Tommy Carruther's board. I am 15 years of age and have been interested in learning JKD for about 3 months now. When I started training on my own it was apparent to me that JKD is not something you can teach yourself from books or videos, and Tommy told me the best thing to do would be save money and see one of the guys here in the US like Jesse.

I was wondering if there was anyone who teaches JKD in Texas, around the Austin area?

Thanks in advance.

Try Dean Goldade in Georgetown. 512-869-2615 or u.s.karate@verizon.net. I will be doing a seminar there next month with Hock Hockheim and Jim McCann.

Sifu Tim,
Is Dean teaching JKD nowadays? I remembered him as being a kajukenpo instructor a few years back.

Mr. Tackett, can you please give me some more information on this seminar you are doing next month? If at all possible I would gladly attend.

Thanks.

See Mike's post for the seminar info. Yes, Dean now teaches JKD to a few students.
