I think I sent him an e-mail a while back when Vince was possibly having to leave AZ for work.

Vince has mentioned the Wednesday night group before. (always complimentary by the way) I tried looking up some information on Richard before through your home page and online. Do you have current infomation on where they are training? I don't like to e-mail or call for initial meet and greet. I prefer a smile and a hand shake to introduce myself.

I can't seem to locate an address or a time frame on the training.

I think I can safely assume Wednesday eventings... :wink:
That still leaves the where and when the doors open.

It was great meeting Richard and seeing another branch of JKD :D

Its always interesting to see what differnt people are working with.
Vince tends to borrow Lacross gloves and some equpiment for training.
Richard is using Hockey legs for shin (and whole leg) guards.

I wonder what is cheaper? A set of Goal keeper padding or the Marshmellow man armor? I need to look into that.

His scoop kick was a new twist I'd not seen before. He had good feedback and tips on the basic mechanics (as time allowed us) I do need to work more on my retraction of side kicks.

It was a toasty 115 yesterday so we had a good sweat going BEFORE working out :shock: How's that for conditioning :wink:

I had screwed my shoulder up good the prior week so between the heat and being a bit of a gimp throwing me a little out of wack it was a very good experience.

I look forward to training with his group again and meeting more of the people he's training with.

Its always nice to be able to meet and train with someone from a differant jkd group that doesnt have that "my jkd is better than your jkd attuatude" glad you came over yesterday arron, look forward to training some more with you when you get the chance. Maybe i can come over and meet vince and train with you guys sometime. P.S you were right about my swollen knee last night, i was totaly dehydrated yesterday, once i fully got my electrolites back up the swelling completly disapared. You would think that after living in the desert for so many years that i would know better! oh well, Hope to here from you soon.

Richard I'm glad all the knee was caused by was needing water, not so good to get that dried out though. Be careful working outside, I think thats right at the same point as sun stroke.

I'll verify with Vince (so SMAC doesn't have any issues) but he has an open door policy for people coming to check the class out. After a few times of showing up the SMAC people start pressuring him to sign them up. (We are trying to get him to open his own place and get out from under them.)

Chris I get an e-mail at work here when PMs hit my inbox. You should have a reply. You might edit your profile to e-mail you when a PM comes in to get a heads up. It might just mean putting a different e-mail address in.
